    • We have a good selection of courses to choose from, both daytime and evening.
    • Students are successfully prepared for internationally recognised EFL and Skills for Life (ESOL) examinations, such as the Cambridge Main Suite qualifications.
    • Teaching and learning resources are comprehensive and up-to-date.
    • Quality is assured by the English in Britain Accreditation Scheme.
    • We have a dedicated international learning suite with comprehensive language learning software.

How do I join a course?

Please contact the Admissions Office on 0117 909 2255 to arrange an informal meeting with one of the tutors who will assess your language level, and will then recommend an appropriate class for you.

    When can I join?

    • You can join a course any time from September to April, subject to availability.
    • We offer a choice of courses at different levels in the daytime and in the evenings at Filton College main site and on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the Ridgewood Centre in Yate.
    • For all courses, you need to enrol each term.

How will a course help me?

Courses will help you to improve your reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, pronounciation and confidence in using English.

You will have a tutor who you can talk to about your progress and you will take appropriate examinations at the end of the course. You will also develop your IT skills and use the resources in the Learning Resources Centre.

    Working in English?

If you are working, ask about our Working in English evening class when you contact the Admissions Office. And if you work in Business, have a look at our EFL Business English class on the next page.
