Step 3: Interview

You will be invited to come for an informal interview to:

  • Discuss the possibilities open to you. Parents/guardians and friends welcome.
  • Find out about the College and its facilities
  • Discuss your interests and career plans

We start interviewing in October through to July for courses which start the following September.

Step 4: Offer

We will offer you a place on a course, which may be conditional on your getting certain entry qualifications. There will be staff available to discuss this and further options if you are still not sure what you wish to do.

Step 5: Acceptance

You will receive an acceptance form from the College to say you have been accepted at interview. This form should be returned to Filton College Admissions Office to secure your place or given back to the tutor at interview. A letter confirming your acceptance will then be mailed to you.

Step 6: Joining Instructions

Joining instructions will be sent to you in August by your teaching team.

Step 7: Exam Results

If you pass your exams, you have got a place. Don’t worry if you have not got the grades you expected, please talk to us about alternative courses available. We hope we have something for everyone!

Step 8: Induction & Initial Assessment

You will be invited in to the College in September for an induction and initial assessment, before your course starts. This will help you to familiarise yourself with the College, your tutor and other students on the same course. It will also be an opportunity to join the Students’ Union and attend our ‘Freshers Day’.
