Meet the Team
Helen: I am the Senior Learner Liaison and Enrichment Officer based in the Student Union team at South Gloucestershire site. This means that my main responsibilities are to support you with any problems that you face both inside and outside of College, and to make your time here at SGS College as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible. We do this by organising lots of wonderful trips, activities and events for you to take part in, which are not only great fun but also give you the chance to learn new skills which you can add to your CV and UCAS application.
I have worked at SGS College for 10 years now and very much enjoy meeting new students and learning about their interests. I like to keep fit by running and going to the gym. I'm a big football fan and previously played for Bristol Rovers Ladies FC (now called Bristol Academy).

John: I have been working at SGS College for 6 years. My teams are Leeds Utd & Bristol Rovers. I like good food (chicken & rice). My responsibilities include organising trips and social events, as well as supplying you all with free food on culture awareness days. Also I am a role-model, mentor, and motivator. I regularly go to the gym and swimming, and I am conscientious and motivated. Outside work I teach keep fit and circuit training.

Sophie: I am a Learner Liaison officer at SGS College. I have been at the college for nearly 5 years and recently made the change from the Sports Academy at WISE to the Student Union. I love the new challenge and meeting lots of different personalities-no day is ever the same! I pretend to keep fit (!)-I have a sweet tooth so make an attempt of a fitness class a week! I enjoy travelling and am looking forward to the student trips away!” |
