The Bristol School of Arts presents ‘The Impact of Light’

Bristol School of Art students from Queens Road have just completed their NOCN Stained Glass qualifications and will be showcasing a selection of their work at the Beachcroft Space, Portwall Place (opposite St Mary Redcliffe).

Beachcroft LLP is one of the biggest national commercial law firms in the UK and its Bristol office has offered its impressive glass atrium as a temporary exhibition space for local artists.

The talented artists all met at the Bristol School of Art whilst studying Stained Glass and are now exhibiting their inspiring array of original glass artwork for the first time as a group. This is a wonderful opportunity to show the beautiful and high quality work produced by students in a high profile environment.

The students have worked closely together to ensure the artwork on display reflects a wide range of interpretations on the theme of the Impact of Light.

Commenting on the Impact of Light exhibition, local glass artist, Milly Frances said, “Most people think of glass art as that displayed in the stained glass windows of churches. This group of artists has a range of styles and use a variety of techniques to create glass panels, pictures, and objects that have something for everyone and will make people consider glass art in a different way”.

The artworks are all for sale and details of prices are included on the artists statements displayed close to each piece.

The exhibition will run from 8th June - 24th August 2010 throughout the day and evening.
